Welcome to S.T.E.M Class!
Hi, I’m Mr. Michael Lubold and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to bring STEM education into our middle school classrooms. I have been employed with the parishes and school for over four years, and have been an active parishioner since I was married at St. Michael’s in 2010.
My entire education, from Kindergarten through college, was in a Catholic school, with my main interests in history and science. Through a federal grant, St. Michael School recently received a number of amazing STEM related technology items and I am excited to teach our middle schoolers all about the wonders of science, technology, engineering and math.
WHAT IS STEM?
STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, and math. These four fields share an emphasis on innovation, problem-solving, and critical thinking. STEM learning helps teach 21st century skills, allowing kids to learn in a streamlined, joyfilled, engaging learning environment.
Topics and activities that MAY be covered in STEM LaB include:
Computer Sciences, including an introduction to coding,
3D Printing,
Engineering,
inventing and robotics,
hydroponics,
and more.
