LISA OUELLETTE, 1984 & BREANNA OUELLETTE, 2012
Lisa M (Fournier) Ouellette graduated from St. Michael School in 1984, and kept her connections to the school strong. For the better part of a decade, Lisa has worked at our school as the Office Manager and also is the Director of Religious Education for St. Michael and St. Joseph’s Parishes.
Lisa attributes her time at SMS as to why she has a strong connection to her faith and values, as “the awesome teachers provided a great education, good examples of our faith and a commitment to our community.”
Of her time at SMS, Lisa enjoyed most the retreat with the Holy Union Sisters, the Rocky Point Field trip and Lisa also fondly remembers her favorite classroom subjects and teachers who impacted her life, as well as wonderful friendships she still has today. “We were like a family, together everyday for so many years.” Along with friendships formed, Lisa also attended SMS with many siblings and cousins.
Lisa is married to her husband Joe for over 34 years, with who she has four children and four grandchildren. “These wonderful memories, strong academics and a faith filled community brought me back when it was time for my children’s education and now I am happy to say the legacy continues for my grandchildren! My children received a great foundation to go on to high school and college, and become the successful people they are today. I can attribute that in a large part to their foundation at St. Michael School.”
Breanna Ouellette, the youngest of Lisa and Joe’s children, graduated from St. Michael School in 2012, continuing her education at Bishop Connolly High School and receiving a Bachelors Degree at Framingham State University in 2020.
Breanna states that “St. Michael school gave me the foundation for success through its small knit community, allowing me to thrive in classes where the teachers always cared so much for each and every student, ensuring we all had what we needed to succeed. SMS has helped me grow into the person I am today and allowed me to succeed not only in my career, but importantly, as a caring and compassionate person.” For Breanna, her growing up and learning in a Catholic school has helped her grow in her faith, and learn about Jesus’ life and love for her.
Breanna fondly cherishes memories of her days playing CYO basketball and futsal, as well as her 8th grade field trip to New York City.
Among her many awards and distinctions received, Breanna received the Pope Pius X award, the Alpha Lambda Delta (First Year College Student Honors), Psi Chi (Psychology Honor Society), Alpha Phi Sigma (Criminology Honor Society) and Alpha Kappa Delta (Sociology Honor Society).
Breanna feels truly blessed to be a part of the SMS community again, and hopes to be a part of many others’ successes here at St. Michael School as the First Grade Teacher. “It’s good to be home again.”
