Megan (Borges) Beleda attended St. Michael’s School from Kindergarten through her graduation in the year 2000. While at SMS, she received the President’s Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. Moving on to Bishop Connolly High School where Megan was consistently on the Honor Roll, and inducted to the National Honor Society and the Portuguese Honor Society.

Megan attended Roger Williams University, where her hard work kept her on the Dean’s List every semester and earning a Bachelors degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

“The faculty and staff very clearly cared about every single student and nobody was left behind. They were tough on us and always pushed us to be our best. Religion and academics were intertwined. I not only learned the typical school subjects but I learned about my Catholic faith and that strengthened me overall as a person. SMS gave me every tool I would go on to need in High School and beyond.”

Ms. Beleda is currently employed at the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office as a Human Resources/Financial Assistant. Twenty years after her graduation from SMS, Megan fondly remembers Field Day at Nanaquaket and Catholic Schools Week activities.
