-double final consonants

-plurals (s) verb endings (-s, -ed, -ing)

clusters with r (pr, fr, cr)

possessives (‘s) contractions (‘s)

high frequency words (all the ones we have learned)

Making predictions

Categorize and classify

Spelling (words we have done so far)

Don’t forget children should be reading every day…this will help build reading fluency!

Students in first and second grade are writing about why they love being at Saint Michael School. These posters will be displayed in the hallway during Catholic School’s Week!  Don’t forget we have mass on January 25, 2012 (children need to be dressed in school uniform)!

Second Grade students, don’t forget your spelling contracts are due on Friday morning!
